Dan spent many years in agriculture, having been raised on a mixed beef, hog and cash crop farm near Mitchell Ontario. He attended the University of Guelph and has held various positions in sales, sales management and senior management over the years; however his real passion has always been Beef Farming. Dan loves everything there is about it, from calving to finishing to growing corn and silage and haylage. He has worked with Purina as a Beef cattle feeding consultant for the past five years. Dan works a bit different from other "salesmen" as he doesn't try to "sell you". He much prefers to understand your farm and work with you to provide products or services that make the most sense for your operation. Dan uses a computerized management tool called "Beef Pro" to help assess the cattle needs. This is an effective tool to help maximize production and profitability. Dan can also talk about the Bold and Gold Purina cattle grid at Cargill meats as an option to help increase revenues.
